Good evening.

About Aaron

I'm a modern independent artist. Nothing more, nothing less.

I write my own songs, release them myself, and play them in the same pubs around Surrey and London where I've been playing for nearly twenty years. I get hired for weddings and corporate events and birthday BBQs — each of those pays for the songwriting time that sits underneath all of it. I teach guitar and singing privately, write a weekly newsletter called The Soundcheck, and answer my own booking enquiries. The whole operation is just me.

At the core it is voice and acoustic guitar — every vocal is live, every guitar part is played. Where the room calls for it, I layer in backing tracks and electric guitar to give a fuller, band-like sound without losing the intimacy of a solo show. The covers run wide — Elvis and Buddy Holly through Simon & Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, George Michael and Paul Anka, up to James Morrison, Paolo Nutini, Michael Bublé, Ed Sheeran, Snow Patrol, The Killers, The Kooks, George Ezra, Myles Smith and The Everly Brothers. Pubs keep the lights on, weddings pay for the good coffee, corporate events and private parties fill out the diary, and the originals tie it all together.

If you've found this page, chances are you're either thinking about booking me for something, or you just like the music. Either way — thanks for being here.

  • Independent artist — no label, no manager. Just songs and a guitar.
  • Based in Surrey, performing across Kingston, Woking, Guildford, Esher, Weybridge, Windsor, London and the wider South East

  • Solo acoustic by default, with electric guitar and backing tracks available to scale up to a band-like set when the event calls for it
  • Originals streaming on Spotify and Apple Music alongside a crowd-pleasing covers setlist

Live Music for Every Occasion

Whether you are planning a wedding, organising a party, or looking for a reliable live act for your venue, I would love to be part of it. Every performance is tailored to the event, the venue and the audience.

Wedding Singer & Ceremony Musician

Your wedding day deserves live music that actually means something. I have performed at hundreds of weddings across Surrey, London and the Home Counties. From the ceremony to the drinks reception and into the evening, I work with you to put together a setlist that feels personal to your day. I bring my own PA, arrive with plenty of time, and make the whole thing effortless.

Private Parties & Celebrations

Birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties, garden parties — live acoustic music changes the atmosphere in a way a playlist simply cannot. Whether you want laid-back background music or everyone singing along by 10pm, I will make sure the music fits the mood. Available across Surrey, South West London, Kingston, Richmond, Wimbledon and beyond.

Pubs, Bars & Venue Bookings

I have regular residencies at pubs and bars across Surrey and South West London, and I am always open to new venues. I bring my own sound system, set up and pack down myself, and I know how to read a room. Whether it is a quiet midweek acoustic night or a rammed Saturday session, I tailor the set to what works.

Corporate & Professional Events

Need live entertainment for a company dinner, team event, awards ceremony or product launch? I provide professional acoustic music that works as background or as a featured set. Discreet, punctual, well-presented, and completely self-sufficient with my own equipment. Available across London, Surrey and the wider South East.

Music Lessons in Surrey & Online

Teaching is a huge part of what I do. Alongside my gigging career I've spent years working one-to-one with students on guitar, voice, drums and music production. My approach is practical, patient, and built around what you actually want to play — not working through a textbook.

More than any single instrument, what I really teach is fulfilment through music — helping people find the confidence in their own ability to do something through music. Beginners, returners after a long break, experienced players looking to push further — all welcome.

I'm also a long-time guitar teacher and patron at Anstee Bridge, a charity supporting young people through music, which is something I'm genuinely proud to be part of.

Lessons available in person in Surrey or online via video call. Get in touch to discuss availability.

Frequently asked

Quick answers to the questions that come up most often when people reach out about a gig.

  • How much does it cost to book Aaron?
I book by timeslot rather than a single flat fee — afternoon, evening, or full-day. An afternoon booking (ceremony + drinks reception) is priced differently to an evening booking (main party / dinner), because each slot replaces the top-paying gig I could have taken at that time. Weddings are priced higher than private functions, and private functions higher than pub gigs — the work and pressure step up with each. Drop me a message with your date, venue and rough timings and I'll come back with a clear price for the slot you need.
  • Can you learn a specific song for our wedding or event?
For weddings, yes — I'll learn songs that really matter (first dance, ceremony entrance, a parent dance) but I need plenty of notice because I'm booked up and the work is squeezed around gigs. For a big event please give me at least a year's notice where you can. For smaller private functions and pub gigs, my 600+ song repertoire is the practical place to draw from — I'll almost always have the track you want already in the set.
  • How far in advance should I book?
For weddings, the sooner the better — Saturdays between May and October get booked out well over a year in advance. For pub gigs and private events it's usually a few weeks to a few months. If the date I need is soon, still ask — last-minute availability comes up regularly when a booking shifts.
  • Do I need to provide a PA or equipment?
No — I bring my own PA, microphones, stands and everything else I need. Because I have wireless microphones, the same system can handle speeches for your ceremony or reception, so you don't need a separate setup for that either. All you need is a power socket within reasonable reach. Outdoor venues are fine as long as there's shelter from rain and a way to get power to me.
  • Do you play ceremony, drinks reception AND the evening?
Yes — I cover full wedding days regularly. Ceremony music, the post-vows walk-out, drinks reception, and into the evening. With wireless microphones on the same rig I can also handle the speeches, so an unconventional venue without its own PA is no problem as long as there's a power supply. We'll work the timings around your schedule so everything flows.
  • How far will you travel?
I'm based in Surrey and play regularly across Surrey, London, Berkshire and the South East. I'll happily travel further for weddings and events — travel cost gets factored into the quote. If you're asking whether I cover your town, just drop me a message with the postcode and I'll let you know.
  • What kind of songs do you play?
Acoustic covers spanning the decades — Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, George Michael and Paul Anka through to James Morrison, Paolo Nutini, Michael Bublé, Ed Sheeran, Snow Patrol, The Killers, The Kooks, George Ezra and Myles Smith, plus my own originals. I don't share a full set list publicly (it changes constantly and I want to keep it flexible), but the best way to hear what I actually sound like is my YouTube channel and socials — or come to a gig.
  • What's the difference between a solo acoustic singer and a wedding band?
I cover both ends of that for most weddings. The ceremony, drinks reception and early-evening work brilliantly as solo acoustic — warm, personal, easy in smaller spaces. For the evening party, I scale up: electric guitar for the solos and louder numbers, backing tracks behind the live guitar and live vocals, which gives a full band-like sound without the footprint or cost of a four-piece. Because it's me and not a whole band relearning a setlist, I stay more flexible with last-minute song choices than most bands can be.
